Supersonic Flights
WHAT
What if you could fly from New York to London in just a few hours, that would be awesome right? Virgin Galactic and Boom are working together to develop the fastest passenger airplane ever. The current flying times will be cut by more than half. Flying from New York to London will last only 3.4 hours and while traveling from san Francisco to Tokyo can than be done in 4,5 hours.
A team of engineers are currently construction the plane. The plane will be manufactured using technology that already exists. With a smaller capacity they hope to fill every flight with passengers. Their mission is to get anywhere in the world within five hours for less then $100. Another cool thing is that passengers should be able to see the curvature of the earth when they look out the window at 60.000 feet.
The company is focused on routes from New york to London, San francisco to Tokyo and Los Angeles to Sydney, but the plane could potentially work on up to 500 routes.
WHY
You may think; flying in just a few hours, how is it possible, but with all the technological advancements, more and more is possible, even more than you can imagine. This is something we are definitely going to see in the future city. This is a huge development in the world because supersonic traveling is going to be real in the future. It makes traveling a lot faster and accessible. People are going to safe a lot of time by flying so fast from place to place, all by all - time is still money.
