From gum to plastic

Are you also annoyed when you step in bubble gum and it gets stuck under your shoe? It's pretty annoying isn't it? Everyone is throwing their gums on the street, but not anymore!

WHAT

There is a new initiative called Gumdrop which is a project to recycle gum. There are pink bins located throughout a city. In which you can deposit your gum. The gums that are collected in these pink bowls will be recycled into useful plastic.

The bright pink bowls stand out, so everyone can see them immediately. On the side of the bin you can find an explanation of how the bin works and where your gum will end up. People will be encouraged to put their gum in the bowls instead of throwing it on the streets. This leads to less garbage on the street and it’s an environmentally friendly solution.

WHY

Nowadays we are looking for improved ways to recycle old materials. This is a new form of cradle to cradle, which means making new things out of used material. As you see we can also do that with our bubble gums. Cradle to cradle is the newest form of sustainability that we are evolving. It's important for everyone to be sustainable and help clean the world.
