Virtual reality pop-up movie theater
Do you like to go to the movies? If your answer is yes, then you maybe like this also. Jip Samhoud, owner of &Samhoud media, came up with a new kind of cinema. It’s a virtual reality pop-up cinema in Amsterdam where you can not only watch a movie, but you can also experience it through a VR-Gear glasses.
The pop-up cinema in Amsterdam was just one day, but Samhoud is thinking about expanding his idea. Therefor he has made a pop-up cinema in other city’s in the Netherlands, like Eindhoven and Utrecht for example. Samhoud’s idea of a virtual reality cinema is the first in the Netherlands. We have seen other things and gadgets with VR, but never a cinema where you can experience a movie.
With virtual reality you get the experience like you are a part of the movie that you’re watching. You just put on a virtual reality glasses and everywhere you look, you see the movie. You are the main character in the movie, isn’t that cool? Samhoud media made a safety video for the people that are visting the cinema, watch it below.
The virtual reality pop-up cinema is a new experience in the world of watching movies. Never before could one experience a movie like their really in it. So this is an example of the experience economy we live in. There is also a lot more to come in the field of virtual reality, it has made it’s start, now it’s time to grow.
