Sprinter by Björn Borg
I guess you guys all know the app Tinder, where you can like or dislike the other gender. Now Björn Borg, a Swedish sports brand is launching a similar app, not to find true love, but to find workout buddies.
WHAT
Björn Borg launched their first app ever, with the new winter collection of the brand, on the 21th of September. The app, Sprinter, works on three things: Sweat, Swipe and Socialize. When a user does an activity on the app it requires energy points, which can be earned through exercising with your iPhone, the Sweat part. The app also has a Swipe function, like Tinder, so users can easily swipe through their future workout buddies from all around the world.
Get matched with your workout buddy
You can select your favorite workout activities and then you get matched with buddies that are based on the same workout style. When you find yours, you can Socialize with them, message them and schedule workouts together. You can also connect your Facebook or Instagram profile, so you can easily download photo's or video's on your Sprinter profile. The main goal of the app is to make working out more fun, when you have a partner that encourages you. Björn Borg believes that you perform better as a team.
WHY
This application fits into the Togetherness trend. The world around us is changing and everything we do is more online than offline. We can’t live without electronics, because we share everything that we do online and want to be connect with people all the time. This app connects people all over the world, that’s the power of the social web.
So, let's make some sportbuddies!
